Tomeika is a single mother who graduated from Thornton Township High School in Harvey IL with high honors.  She furthered her education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she obtained her B.S. in Speech Communications and her M.P.A. in Public Administration. Tomeika works for Amazon Corporate heading their Counterfeit department where she heads a team of Account Managers from North America and Costa Rica. She's a go-getter and a warrior in her own right. She's a published author and is creative in all that she does with an infectious personality and humble spirit.

Tomeika was a student of her grandmother Josephine, as well as watched her mother who is a licensed cosmetologist grow out many women hair with their natural product, which the best ingredient is LOVE. Her mother Brenda encouraged her to push forth with Manetane Beauty a few years before the passing of Josephine Bowman. In 2011, Tomeika alongside her grandmother Josephine and her mother Brenda began making products, and educating anyone who would listen. They created cases of products handing them out for others to try and all they asked for in return was an honest review. Tomeika, determined to see Manetane Beauty thrive, enlisted the help of her life long friend turned sister, Ms. K.

Ms. K is a single mother who graduated from Thornton Township High School in Harvey IL with high honors. She also furthered her education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she obtained her B.S. in Early Childhood Education. She continued and received her Masters of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix. Being an educator is what Ms. K does, however she’s always a forever student. Ms. K went to cosmetology school and obtained her cosmetology license and traveled far and wide learning the art of healthy hair.

Ms. K grew up with Tomeika and her family and also became a student of Josephine as she accepted her wisdom, learned her ways and was embraced as a granddaughter. Ms. K also learned during the early mornings and late evenings from Tomeika’s mother Brenda who is also a licensed cosmetologist.  Ms. K and Tomeika often marvel at the fact that they’ve known each other since the 2nd grade. They both have daughters who share the same birthday, and they both pledged the same Sorority of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. at the Epsilon Xi Chapter.

During the quarantine, Ms. K and Tomeika worked tirelessly reformulating and researching and studying ingredients, products and began to rebrand Manetane Beauty. With the help of Josephine’s daughter (Brenda) and her grandson (Jonathan) Ms. K and Tomeika are ready to share this gift with the world and promises to always provide the best quality products in each jar and or bottle while making sure that each time a product is produced, they start with the #1 ingredient… LOVE
